Management Accountant

Primary Function

To assist with the implementation and execution of relevant strategies and finance processes so as to ensure maximum value through effective financial reporting, minimization of risks, and leading operational efficiency through the use of technological and programmatic development.

Outputs

1 To assist the Head of Finance with execution of strategies for the business and day to day operations

2 To oversee cross boarder transaction/s and ensure that all compliance/regulatory/legal and governance requirements are met.

3 To conduct, facilitate and sign off on internal and external audits, financial statements/packs and regulatory submissions as appropriate.

4 Responsible for the preparation and presentation of accurate management accounts for relevant stakeholders.

5 To maintain sound accounting practices, policies, procedures and controls.

6 To ensure control over the implementation, design and monitoring of financial procedures

7 To provide financial oversight to client schemes.

8 To ensure all reinsurance cell reporting is prepared timeously and accurately and to ensure all payments processed from the cell bank accounts are valid.

9 Efficient cash flow management to ensure liquidity and investment management of all offshore funds.

10 To ensure that daily bank transfers and payments are done accurately and on time.

11 Management of accounts receivable balances for optimal working capital management.

12 To ensure that all commercial agreements and treaties are correctly reflected in the financial information provided to stakeholders.

13 The attraction, motivation and retention of staff in line with group policies, to ensure optimal outcomes.
