The professional prospects of this apprenticeship are in office management and commercial processing. Many of our positions involve a combination of both parts.
Vocational training for young, committed people is very important to GIZ - we want to promote young talent, support their personal and professional development and let them become part of our team.
Join an international company. You will work in different departments and specialist areas so that you can get to know our work at home and abroad. The training begins in August 2023 and lasts 3 years. Depending on the requirements and school performance, it can be shortened to 2.5 or 2 years during the training.
The vocational school lessons take place on a weekly basis at the Friedrich List School in Berlin. You will take part 1 of the extended final exam about halfway through the training period; Part 2 will follow at the end of the training.
As part of the company training , you start with exciting introductory days in Bonn. This is followed by assignments lasting several months in the commercial area, in human resources, in the project-leading departments and in office management. Depending on the arrangement and capacities, assignments can also be scheduled at our two locations in Bonn and Eschborn.
An assignment in one of our country offices is possible. The feasibility is subject to the current safety and health situation.
Do you enjoy organizing and planning? Do you have good communication skills? Clerks for office management organize and work on office tasks in office management and/or in clerical processing. They also take care of commercial activities in areas such as order processing, procurement, accounting and personnel administration. For successful training, you should have the following skills:
- Good completion of secondary school, commercial school or high school
- Very good knowledge of German and good verbal and written communication skills
- Good understanding of numbers
- Good grades in mathematics and German
- Enjoys organization and office work
- Fluent English skills, basic knowledge of other languages desirable
