Overall Responsibility:
The Marketing Executive contributes to the overall success of the Company by coordinating and driving all aspects of marketing and brand management of the company so that the brand stands out, and portrays a positive, innovative and fresh image of the company to customers (prospective & existing), employees (prospective & existing) and investors/strategic partners (prospective & existing).

Detailed Responsibility:

  • Create a Marketing Strategy that will act as a guide for the year in terms of the company's marketing activities. This process is that of bringing in all key stakeholders, discussing and gathering feedback, then mapping it all out into a cohesive, structured strategy document covering all major areas such as Value Proposition, core messaging, target audience, and mediums to reach the audience. This strategy will directly generate the marketing Plan below. The marketing strategy must address all three main pillars - customers, staff, and investors.
  • Create a Marketing Plan that is purely the execution tasks as per the strategy document above. This plan simply maps out all activities, schedules their execution and estimates a cost against each activity. This will also be guided by the available budget allocated for marketing activities. This plan will serve as a guide for the rest of the year, but will remain flexible as we go and can be updated from time to time.
  • Execution of the Marketing Plan including deviations and adjustments to the plan as long as they have been agreed in advance
  • Generation of content. Content is the key ingredient in the marketing strategy. The marketing executive will constantly be generating content in the form of written materials (such as product brochures, blogs, case studies and white papers) as well as non-written (such as videos, social media posts).
  • Ensure the brand visibility and brand image is well managed as per Marketing Strategy & Plan
  • Manage the marketing budget for the year and ensure it is spent in the best possible manner for maximum effectiveness
  • Manage and coordinate external parties, advertisers and contractors who somehow deliver goods or services to the company
  • Capitalize on in-house talent and potential in terms of doing as much as we can using our own expertise and potential. Where we need external assistance, engage a 3rd party to do so.
  • Compile reports and updates for management and board as per agreed time tables and format.
  • Any other tasks that are delegated by the S&M Manager, GM or MD.


The Candidate:

  • The candidate must be one who can take full responsibility for a function or task, own it fully and see it to the final resolution.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and a high sense of responsibility and one who gives feedback pro-actively.
  • The candidate must be able to think strategically and creatively to accomplish the objectives at hand. This includes thinking outside the box but also finding innovative ways to achieve results in an efficient and cost effective manner that resonates and reaches our target audiences.
  • The candidate must be a prolific writer and love to generate content of various forms. This could be a news article or a 60 sec video piece covering a story worth sharing. The candidate should constantly be on the lookout for new stories to tell and incidents worth sharing.
  • The candidate must be organized and systematic in their work, methodical in getting things done and be able to organize all materials into correct folders.
  • The Candidate must have fire in their belly. They must be driven, have a positive and optimistic outlook and a pleasant personality.
  • Attention to detail is a must, both in written form, but especially in visual representations of the company
