Key Responsibilities:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Activity;

  • Ensure receipt and dispatch of food commodities as per standards
  • Supervise Store Keepers to assume their duties accurately
  • Ensure proper documentation as per requirement
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the warehouses to the acceptable level
  • Liaise with Food Distribution Staff for better planning of required and delivery of food commodities in a timely manner
  • Compile quality periodical reports timely
  • Participate in monthly Physical Inventory exercise

  • Food handling standards adhered too
  • Supportive supervision provided
  • Food handling principles adhered too
  • Acceptable hygienic level prevails at EDP
  • Prevailed effective communication and coordination
  • Quality reports are produced and shared timely
  • PI produced timely

KNOWLEDGE/ QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLES

Required Professional Experience

  • One-year experience in working with humanitarian operations,
  • Experience in handling commodities management
  • Experience in working with refugee programs

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • Training in commodities management, and response training.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Degree in Accountant or Procurement
  • Certification from Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB) is an added advantage,

Travel and/or Work Environment

  • Refugee camps

Physical Requirements

  • Should be physically fit

Language Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Swahili
