Urgent Opening for Plantation Manager in Tanzania
Open Position:
1. Teak and Sandalwood Plantation Manager : (2 Nos.)
Job Summary:
The Plantation Manager will be responsible for raising quality planting material, managing thplanting, and maintenance of teak and sandalwood plantations in a large farm in Tanzania, East Africa. The Manager will be required to manage 200 laborers and 10 subordinates.
Responsibilities:
Ensure production of quality planting material.
Manage the planting, raising, and maintenance of teak and sandalwood plantations iTanzania
Monitor and ensure the health and productivity of the plantation addressing issues related to pest and disease management, irrigation, and fertilization.
Manage a team of 200 laborers and 10 subordinates.
Maintain up-to-date records related to plantation inventory, soil test results, plantingand harvesting activities, pest and disease monitoring, water management, and financial records.
Prepare reports for senior management and provide recommendations for improvements to plantation management practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture/Forestry/ Plantation management
Minimum 3 years of experience in managing teak and sandalwood plantations.
Age below 45 years.
Proficient in English and Hindi languages.
Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Must be willing to work in Tanzania, East Africa.
Salary per month : USD 1000 to USD 1200 USD
