The Rider Verticals organization is an incredibly fun group within Uber. Operating as a start-up within Uber - looking to create the next billion dollar businesses leveraging one of the world's largest mobility platforms! And to succeed we are looking to disrupt the industry yet again through working on some of Uber's most complex problems coming up with brand new ways to use Uber!

As Vertical run teams, we own holistic experiences and implantations throughout the Uber stack: Rider Experience, Driver Experience and all of the complex Marketplace mechanics in the middle! We work incredibly closely with the business and are especially focused on ensuring Uber's mobility business continues to grow rapidly through new product offerings and experiences! What's even more exciting is not only do you get to build products that change the lives of millions of people, you yourself get to use these products everyday!

We have multiple openings that appeal to a range of entrepreneurial engineers: 0 to 1 big bold bets, to more mature and large scale platforms that power our rides business.

Our teams include new bets including Travel products, Reservations, New use-cases like Uber Connect, Charter products, Content Discovery and a ton of new products we can't publically say just yet.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• Strong experience in either Kotlin and/or Java
• 5+ years of professional experience building in either mobile platform/sdk/dev tools, or mobile consumer facing features

Preferred Qualifications

• At least five (8) years of software engineering experience

For Colorado-based roles: The salary/hourly rate range for this role is $157,000 per year - $174,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award, commissions, & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
