Duties
Responsible for the administrative management of the Political-Economic Office, including managing the flow of correspondence, files, and other information; ordering office supplies and equipment and ensuring their appropriate use and maintenance; assisting with official visits; managing Leahy Vetting; certifying time and attendance; assisting with new arrivals; and performing other administrative tasks for the section as required. The position is supervised by American Political/Economic Chief.
50% Office Administration: Responsible for management of the administrative functions and requirements of the
Political/Economic Section, to support timely completion of Section tasks and fulfillment responsibilities. Distribute cable traffic, office mail, and newspapers; inventory and order supplies; arrange GSO and other ICASS services when required. Prepare correspondence, including drafting routine memos, letters, diplomatic notes and cables, as required. Serve as timekeeper for Political-Economic prepare all time and attendance forms.
10% Leahy Vetting: Responsible for administrative support and monitoring of workflow related to Post's Leahy Vetting program to ensure proper data entry of required vetting information in the INVEST software and timely submission to Washington, DC. Ensure contributions from interagency vetters (DAO, RSO, CONS, P/E) and Sponsoring officers (USAID, USFWS, DOD, RSO, and INL and other Bureaus, etc.) are coordinated for effective human rights vetting of host country nationals in support of USG funded training and equipping objectives.
10% Records control management: Responsible for maintenance of P/E documents, correspondence, and reports to ensure Proper retention of information. Effective filing, retrieval, and destruction of records as directed and in accordance with pertinent regulations contributes to institutional memory of the Mission.
20% Travel and Visit management: Responsible for ensuring Section responds to electronic country clearance requests and travel arrangements for official visitors, providing administrative support to control officers, as necessary. Prepare representational and travel vouchers and assist with securing travel arrangements.
10% Security functions: Responsible for escorting un-cleared personnel and visitors in sensitive areas of POL/ECON section and as floor warden implementing RSO-approved measures which support the security of information, property, and personnel.
Job holder will perform other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE: Two years of prior office administration work experience is required.
Education Requirements:
Completion of High School is required.

COVID-19 Requirements for Eligible Family Members
